Here in Dover, now more than ever, we need to highlight the issues and celebrate our individualities in Dover’s community to ensure our wonderful town becomes more inclusive and supportive of LGBTQ+ rights.
We also have the unique position within the UK to show our colours in support of the LGBTQ+ community to Europe and the rest of the world. 2019 is not just any year for Pride this also marks the 50 years of Pride remembering the Stonewall Riots in New York.
Frazer Doyle and Emma Brimson started with an idea that Dover, like many other towns, should have its own Pride event. This idea
developed over a year and swiftly became a reality after the support and guidance of Future Foundry.
“This will be Dover’s first dedicated LGBTQ+ event and so it was important for us to include and involve as many of our community as we could."
Frazer and Emma are both Dover creatives with their own businesses and manage Dover Student Makers Market.
